Weekly Gears ~ 1 week anniversary edition

Wow, this blog is already 1 week old and I haven’t gotten around to update the site with any major content. Since I’ve been busy this entire week I haven’t gotten around to play any new games or watch movies. Next week looks even more hectic but hopefully I’ll be able to find some time to get this blog in order (especially after gentek’s little “departing” raid).  Weekly Gears is a continuously evolving segment and because I didn’t play/watch any games this week, instead I’ll post interesting news around the tech/gaming industry.

DX 11 announced, DX 10.1 sinks http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/38362/98/ : ATI fanboys am cry, DX 10.1 is the past and I for one welcome our new DX 11 overlords. Nvidia actually made a smart decision here to not support the dx 10.1 in their next gen cards (GTX260/80)

Nvidia stumbles Source : Wow gentek is going to have a field day with this, hopefully anyone using NV’s mobile GPU’s will be fine. My go7600 is still going strong after almost a yr and a half so I’m still a happy customer. Apparently this problem affects mainly the go 8 series.

iPhone 3G released in Canada, sucks balls source: Fuck you Steve Jobs and Rogers. That’s all I have to say. (Did i ever mention this blog should be 14A?)

E3 is upon us! The gaming gods bless us with a plethora of news!: This stuff is all over the internet so I won’t bother to source. With E3 just a week away, rumours from all 3 major console makers are spewing out like STDs from a downtown whore. Some key news include price cut to xbox 360 to $299, motion controller and 60 GB sku also for the box, Rock Band 2 releasing in Sept., Classic JRPG masterpiece chrono trigger comes to the ds, god of war 3for PSTriple, and many many more.
