Spore sucks as a game. Great ideas but not so much in execution. I wanted a sims like experience, not a fricking myriad of gameplay form MMORPGs, RTSs, and thtat stupid eating fish flash game. Worst of all it can’t even manage to control as good as those games. That is all.
Quite contrary to my co-blogger’s opinion below; the 4870 x2 is simply fantastic (despite poor driver and game support as of this moment.). It is the single fastest card money can buy, yes, faster than nv’s gtx 280
by 25% on regular resolutions and up to 51% on high res. cite: TomsHardwareGuide. nVidias bumbling mammoth-sized GPUs have been beaten by ATi’s fast and agile multi-GPU solution. Way to go AMD! In other news, nvidia’s G84/G86 chips are apparently ALLLLLL defective regardless whether it is a desktop or laptop. This defect sure is kicking nvidia in the crotch. Much like the old man with the football to the groin (simpsons), nvidia can do nothing except shrivel up in the fetal position on the ground and take deep breaths. . I wanted to include a photo of hans moleman getting nailed in the groin by a footbal; but couldnt find the photo in 30secs so settled with someone getting kicked in the groin.

Quick Update: Our holy graphics maker Nvidia has just released their FREE geforce power packs which enables PhysX technology using CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) in all geforce cards 8 series and above! Best of all it includes plenty of stuff in the package to test out the new toys, including tech demos, unreal engine stuff, drivers to make it work, and warmonger (PhysX original shawcase) totalling 2719 mb in all! What are you waiting for nV owner? Experience real-time physics like the kids over at ATI never could! Oh and dont feel totally left out ATI fanboys, the 4870×2 just came out. Too bad ATI driver and game support suck so much!
I havn’t posted a fanboyish post about AMD in awhile and, to be honest, miss it a little. So here is another post about the greatest company in the whole wide world$!!!!!!!!! Their stock is at a new low of $4.21/ share. If i had a million bucks right now I would go invest in them, but I dont have that kind of pocketchange lying around, sorry AMD. They recently also got a new CEO and finally got rid of Hector Ruiz. That guy hasnt bee doing much good for AMD recently, kudos to AMD for getting rid of him. aPple (<- lowercase first letter to deote disrespect for them) is rumored to be ignoring intel centrino motevina chipsets. Normally I would not give any attention to apple since..they are the spawn of satan. But i hate intel more, so even if they switched to nvidia chipsets id be plenty happy. Also in other news. TSMC (a TAIWANESE COMPANY W00t) is developing 40nm and 45nm production simultaneously, and will be ready by 09!!!! This is a major leap forward for GPU, as it represents the first time that GPU will be produced at a smaller node than CPUs. (cite: TomsHardwareGuide). Intel will still be using 45nm for awhile. TSMC is the foundry that ATi
and nvidia both have contracted to produce their gpu chips. This also means that GPU performance is starting to be more important than CPU performance (w00t AMD/ATi merger, and a bit to hector). In addition, AMD’s Shrike mobile platform will debut next year, I can not wait for it!! Amd still has not decided to build their NewYork fabrication facility. They have 1 more year to decide or the 1.x billion USD in funding will be off…..

….the table. AMD must focus their resources on certain products now more than ever because of their debt. I hope this new ceo, Dirk Meyer (isit?), will be able to make AMD turn around into profitability again. Good luck.!
Fanboy speaking. AMD ROCKS. W00t W00t. I’m not gonna bother pointing out their pivotal role for the market or the advancements they have helped push forward by providing competition and pressure on the oligopoly. What happens when there is no competition? Vista happened, No. OScrap is not competition. Etcetc. End with the ever so cool intel logo.
Fanboy speaking here. I dont care what anyone says about AMD..blah blah blah they got sh1tty processors blah blah their ATi purchase was stupid…etc etc. I <3 them. Thank god for AMD. Anyway, so whats the deal with widescreen monitors? I dont know! More on that later.
