Microsoft Live Labs PhotoSynth.! August 22, 2008

I saw the tech demo of this on..uh what’s that show called again..uhh…i forgot it was some science show..anyway it seemed pretty intriguing back then. This little application takes a bunch of random pictures and tries to put them together into a coherent 3d-esque image!! I’m actually trying it right now, I took some 360degree panoramas last winter whiel i was in california; now i can finally use it!! I was just looking at some of the ones people have posted and I have to say, I’m fairly impressed by what Microsoft has created! This application is almost like panorama on steroids. It takes random snapshots of the same area and stitches them together quite well! You should go try it out for youself. Maybe microsoft isnt such a turdbag, afterall, they are offering this for free. I can’t imagine the MASSIVE bandwidth requirements to host this type of thing. Will update as I get to know the program.
